Map Field Positioning is used to drag and drop fields defined in the flashFORM Designer. This function was replaced by iMap and is now obsolete, however, it remains supported for older installations that employed that feature
The mapped field must be a type 3.
Map Field Positioning requires that the text block fields be defined and placed in the flashFORM Designer tool. Refer to the flashFORM Designer User Guide, 'Creating AS/400 Data Mapping Fields“ to see how to map the fields and view the field numbers and locations in the Designer. These are the yellow boxes laid out on the electronic form showing field locations and numbers.
A *fld Field file is created and sent to the AS/400. It is then stored in the QDLS/FORMFMG folder.
